Watch Hegseth’s press conference after the bombing of Iran? Certainly felt like Idiocracy again; all slogans, nothing really made sense and everything designed to deflect responsibility. Power but no accountability please…

PS: I have to comment on Hegseth’s latest gloating and oddly self‑congratulatory press conference. Taunting dead Iranians as “toast” is graceless, and it’s foolish given how easily this war could go wrong in unpredictable ways. Then again, if you never state what you’re trying to achieve, you can’t be held accountable when it fails, right?
